Renowned music composer Amaal Mallik recently created a major buzz in the Bollywood music industry after calling out a missing credit tag on social media, leading to widespread speculation about a potential rift.

Addressing the growing rumors online, the popular composer immediately stepped forward to clear the air regarding his public statements. Amaal firmly clarified that his critical remarks were not aimed at superstar Salman Khan personally, but were strictly directed towards the actor’s production banner, Salman Khan Films, alongside its public relations and digital management teams.

The incident unfolded after the official social media handle of Salman Khan Films posted a promotional throwback clip celebrating the anniversary of the 2015 romantic drama Hero.

The featured video highlighted the chartbuster track Main Hoon Hero Tera, showing Salman Khan performing the song, but failed to credit original composer Amaal Mallik or lyricist Kumaar in the caption.

Expressing his deep frustration over the oversight, Amaal dropped a candid comment asking the social media team to learn basic professional courtesy, emphasizing that songs are crafted with genuine blood, sweat, and tears by their creators and deserve proper acknowledgment.

As media outlets rapidly began portraying the comment as a direct attack on Salman Khan, Amaal released a series of follow-up statements on his official social media channels to set the narrative straight.

He explained that both he and his singer brother Armaan Malik hold immense respect and gratitude for Salman Khan, as the superstar gave them their big career break in Bollywood a decade ago.

He underlined that his fight is not personal but rather part of a long-standing decades-old battle in the Indian music industry to ensure music directors, lyricists, and original creators receive basic respect and proper tagging on digital media assets.

Urging the production teams to handle creative credits with greater responsibility, Amaal noted that calling out corporate negligence does not make an artist self-centered or a rebel without a cause.

He expressed that even if an artist reaches a stage where they no longer require publicity tags, production banners still have no right to erase or discredit the hard work behind iconic hits. The composer concluded his clarification by reiterating his love for Salman Khan while requesting the production team to take music creators seriously moving forward.
