After receiving overwhelming love for the series Chanchlani shared that he is considering building a larger universe around the project.

Chanchlani played multiple roles in bringing the series to life working as the director, writer, producer and actor.
Talking about the future of the story, Chanchlani revealed that he already has several creative ideas in mind. He mentioned that he would love to turn Ekaki into a larger universe and is even thinking about developing a spin-off from the existing storyline. However he made it clear that any expansion will only happen if the story naturally demands it.
The creator also spoke about the challenges he faced when he initially pitched the concept. According to him many OTT platforms struggled to understand the format he wanted to create. Chanchlani further shared that shortly before the release of the show he received an attractive offer from a platform to buy the series. Despite the financial opportunity he decided to release Ekaki on YouTube instead. For him connecting directly with his audience mattered more than the deal.
Looking back he believes that decision worked in his favor. The series managed to reach a much larger audience online and each chapter generated strong discussions among fans. Chanchlani described the project as something special for his loyal viewers who have supported his work over the years.
While he is excited about the possibility of expanding the Ekaki world he stressed that creating a universe should never become a marketing gimmick. According to him the story should always come first and only when the narrative demands it should the idea of a larger universe be explored.
