Awarapan 2 box office collection day 5: Emraan Hashmi film crosses ₹100 crore, shows no sign of slowing down on weekday

The action-romantic drama Awarapan 2 continues to dominate the theatrical circuit, achieving a significant career milestone for lead actor Emraan Hashmi by officially entering the ₹100 crore net club in India on its fifth day. Released in theatres on August 14, 2026, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2007 cult classic kicked off its box office journey with an impressive ₹22 crore on Friday, followed by a massive surge over the weekend. The film collected ₹33.75 crore on Saturday and ₹26 crore on Sunday, leading to a stellar opening weekend total of over ₹81 crore net. Moving into the regular work week, the momentum showed no sign of stopping as it added ₹9.25 crore on Monday and picked up further speed on Tuesday with ₹9.75 crore, pushing the total domestic net earnings to ₹100.75 crore.
The steady weekday performance highlights the film’s strong word-of-mouth appeal, with overall theater occupancy surging during evening and night shows across major cities. Metros like Delhi-NCR and Mumbai recorded heavy footfalls, while Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets also saw remarkable theater fills, demonstrating widespread pan-India attraction. With the India gross figure touching ₹120.33 crore and international markets adding another ₹23.80 crore gross, the total worldwide collection for Awarapan 2 now stands at ₹144.13 crore in just five days. Produced by Vishesh Films and directed by Nitin Kakkar, the movie also stars Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, and Suvinder Vicky in key roles, proving to be Emraan Hashmi’s highest-grossing film as a solo lead.
