Dhurandhar 2 Sets New Global Standards as it is set to cross 1700 Crore Globally

The global box office has a new titan. Aditya Dhar’s espionage epic, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, has officially cemented its status as a historic blockbuster, crossing the $178 million (approximately ₹1,656 crore) mark in worldwide gross collections. This milestone makes it the first Hindi film in history to breach the ₹1,000 crore net mark in the domestic Indian market.

As the film moves into its fourth week, it has not only surpassed the lifetime earnings of its predecessor but has also outpaced major Hollywood releases. Despite the ongoing IPL 2026 season and a lack of release in Gulf countries, the film’s momentum remains surprisingly steady.

The film’s journey to the top has been a series of record-breaking sprints. From a massive opening weekend to a sustained run in international territories, the data reflects a rare level of audience retention.

In North America alone, the film has minted $26 million, a figure that places it among the top-performing Indian films in the region. Other international markets contributed an additional $18 million, showcasing the universal appeal of the high-stakes spy thriller.

Perhaps the most discussed aspect of Dhurandhar 2’s run is its ability to take on global heavyweights. The film has officially surpassed the worldwide collections of several high-profile English-language films released earlier this year:

Industry analysts note that Dhurandhar 2 earned more in its opening weekend (over $80 million) than most of these films earned in their entire theatrical runs.

With the film now ranked as the 10th highest-grossing film of 2026 globally, the next target for the producers is the ₹1,700 crore mark. While daily collections have naturally dipped below the ₹10 crore mark in the third week—a standard pattern for long-running blockbusters—strong weekend occupancy is expected to carry the film through its fourth week.

Directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, the film has also benefited from festive periods and massive word-of-mouth. Despite early technical glitches during preview shows, the “Revenge” saga has proven to be an unstoppable force at the ticket window.

“Dhurandhar 2 isn’t just a movie; it’s a cultural shift. Crossing the ₹1,000 crore domestic mark while competing with Hollywood’s best proves that Indian cinema’s global footprint is larger than ever,” says trade analyst Abhimanyu Mathur.

As the film continues its dominant run, it stands as a testament to the growing power of high-concept Indian action cinema on the world stage. To know such latest  updates tuned tellyboosters.com Thank you!
