Fresh Legal Trouble for Brad Pitt as Intimate Skincare Brand Files Lawsuit

Hollywood star Brad Pitt is finding himself back in the legal spotlight, but this time it is not over his famous French winery. A Malibu-based wellness company called Beau D., which is widely known for creating high-end intimate skincare products tailored for male genitalia, has officially filed a lawsuit against the actor’s luxury beauty venture. The legal dispute centers entirely around a recent name change implemented by Pitt’s brand, which the plaintiff claims is way too similar to their own established identity and is bound to cause major confusion among shoppers.

The trouble started after Brad Pitt decided to rebrand his high-end, genderless skincare line. The Oscar-winning actor originally launched his business under the name Le Domaine, partnering with a prominent French winemaking family to create anti-aging products infused with grape extracts from his estate. However, the company later changed its name to Beau Domaine. This shift immediately raised red flags for the team at Beau D., who had already been operating in the market. They argue that the new name directly infringes on their trademark and constitutes unfair competition under California business laws.

According to legal documents and statements from Beau D. founder Brandon Palas, the independent company tried to handle the situation quietly before taking the matter to court. Palas revealed that his team reached out to Pitt’s camp with three different private settlement options in good faith. These proposals included asking Pitt’s brand to undergo another rebrand, paying a licensing fee to continue operating with the current name while helping to differentiate the two brands, or having Pitt financially support a rebranding effort for Beau D. itself. While there were brief discussions about financial assistance to help the smaller brand change its identity, those negotiations ultimately fell through because Pitt’s business partners showed no interest in altering their own brand name.

With out-of-court talks failing, Beau D. decided to move forward with a formal lawsuit, seeking damages exceeding seventy-five thousand dollars and demanding a permanent injunction to stop Pitt’s company from using the Beau Domaine name altogether. Even though the two businesses focus on very different segments of the skincare market—with one selling intimate grooming items like their signature pelvic cream and the other selling luxury facial serums—the lawsuit argues that the branding overlap is unfair to independent creators. Representatives for Brad Pitt and Beau Domaine have not yet released an official public statement regarding the ongoing litigation, which adds yet another layer to the actor’s complex web of legal battles.
