Today’s episode starts with the judge announcing that the custody case between Mannat and Vikrant will now begin. Vikrant keeps thinking about Yashika’s words that he should not depend completely on the lawyer and must fight for his daughter himself.
Vikrant tells the judge that he wants to fight the case personally and the judge grants him permission. Vikrant says that no father should ever have to stand in court and ask for rights over his own child. But unfortunately he is that father who was kept away from the truth for seven years. He says he was never told that he had a daughter named Dua.
He emotionally says that destiny brought Dua in front of him yet the truth was still hidden from him. Vikrant asks whether it is not wrong to keep a father away from his child. Now that he knows the truth he only wants Dua to stay with him. He further says that people are calling him ungrateful but that is not true. He admits that Dhairya is his elder brother and that he took care of Dua and his parents. However when Vikrant first learned the truth he stepped back because he was told that Dhairya and Mannat were already married. Later he found out that this was also a lie.
Now that he knows Mannat is not married he demands custody of his daughter from the court. Mannat angrily looks toward Neetu for revealing the truth of her and dhariya marriage and to vikrant but Neetu avoids eye contact and turns her face away.
Vikrant Accuses Dhairya
Vikrant tells the court that he fears Mannat and Dhairya may take Dua to another city after which he may never get the chance to meet his daughter again. The judge asks Vikrant if Mannat wants to stay with Dhairya he should respect her decision.
Vikrant replies that he did respect her decision at first but now he feels Dhairya is using his favors against him by taking his family away from him. He says Mannat feels emotionally indebted to Dhairya and Dhairya is taking advantage of that situation. Vikrant claims of they don’t interferes Mannat and Dua will go far away from him forever and he will lose them permanently.
He also says that the defense may accuse him of abandoning Dua but how could he abandon a child whose existence he never even knew about? Vikrant says that if he truly wanted to leave Dua he would never have come to court to fight for her. He tells the judge that this battle is not just his fight but Dua’s right to know the truth about her birth and her real father.
Vikrant insists that he can provide Dua with a secure future fulfill all her needs and give her every happiness. Therefore he requests full custody of Dua claiming that his rights as a father were stolen from him.
Mallika Mocks Dhairya
Meanwhile at the Saluja house Dhairya looks restless thinking about the court hearing. Mallika arrives there and laughs at his condition. She sarcastically tells Dhairya that at this moment nobody looks like a bigger fool than him. She says he must be constantly thinking about what is happening in court. Dhairya tells her to mind her own business.
Mallika gives a sarcastic reply that he should actually feel confident because Vikrant is definitely not going to lose the case. She says Vikrant has money and power and will use everything possible to win custody. Dhairya warns her to stay out of Mannat’s matters because Mannat knows exactly what she is doing.
Mallika then taunts him further saying that even after so many years he still failed to understand one simple truth Mannat still loves only Vikrant. She says that Vishakha, Aishwarya and she tried their best for years to separate Mannat and Vikrant and were even successful for some time. But in the end destiny kept bringing them back together.
She says the same thing will happen again. No matter how hard Dhairya tries he will never be able to separate Mannat and Vikrant. She also says that now even Dua will eventually go back to Vikrant. Mallika tells Dhairya that Mannat will never return with him again and he should remember that fact.
Dhairya asks her to leave and focus on her own work. He then shocks Mallika by saying that if she wants the right in this house she should marry him. He claims marriage will give him that right. she sarcastically ask her to print wedding cards and call the priest. Mallika angrily replies that she already has rights and leaves from there.
After she leaves Dhairya becomes deeply worried thinking about what will happen if Mannat truly returns to Vikrant and if Dua is also taken away from him.
Mannat Decides to Fight Her Own Case
Back in court the judge asks Mannat’s lawyer to proceed. However Mannat stops the lawyer and says she wants to present her own case personally. The judge allows her request.
At the same time Neetu tells Vikrant that He might fear Mannat may reveal his past mistakes in court. she confidently replies that Mannat loves him too much to say anything that would make people question him publicly.
Mannat then begins her argument and says that Vikrant is right about one thing Dua’s truth was hidden from him. But the real reason behind hiding that truth was Vikrant himself. Her statement shocks Vikrant.
Mannat firmly says that Vikrant does not deserve to be part of Dua’s life and she will prove it in court. She asks permission to question Vikrant and the judge calls him to the witness box.
Mannat Question Vikrant of His Past Actions
Mannat first asks Vikrant whether seven years ago they were about to get married. Vikrant answers yes. She then asks if he publicly broke the relationship in front of everyone. Again Vikrant says yes.
Mannat tells the judge to note that after the broken marriage she had returned to Vikrant’s house only to tell him she was pregnant but he refused to listen and threw her out. When Vikrant tries to interrupt Mannat stops him and reminds him to answer only what she asks because he has already presented his side.
She further questions him about throwing his parents Ronnie and Neetu out of the house. She also asks whether he filed a case against Neetu and forced Ronnie to sign away property papers in exchange for her release including Mannat’s share of the property. Vikrant angrily says that Mannat knows very well what is she trying to do.
Mannat calmly demands only a yes-or-no answer. Finally Vikrant admits that he acted under his Vishakha influence because he believed that the woman who gave birth to him could never lie to him.
Mannat Destroys Vikrant’s Claims
Mannat questions whether Vikrant was a child back then or even today. She says that just because his mother suddenly entered his life and manipulated him he destroyed every relationship without trusting anyone else.
She argues that if Vikrant is so easily influenced then how can she trust him with a child’s future? What guarantee is there that tomorrow someone else will manipulate him again against Mannat or Dua?. Mannat says Vikrant always believes other people’s evidence and words more than his own loved ones. She asks how anyone can trust that he will not once again break relationships and throw them out of his life. Neetu interrupts asking Mannat what she is saying.
Mannat then tells the court that Dhairya is not the reason for the conflict as Neetu believes. Instead if Dhairya had not entered their lives Vikrant’s parents would not even be alive today. She reveals that after Vikrant threw her out while she was pregnant Ronnie and Neetu were also left helpless. It was Dhairya who supported all of them gave them shelter and treated Vikrant’s parents like his own family.
Mannat emotionally says that even before Dua was born, Dhairya had already formed a bond with her. From Dua’s birth till today, Dhairya fulfilled every responsibility toward her without any obligation or selfish motive. She tells the judge that Vikrant who abandoned even his own parents cannot be trusted with Dua’s upbringing. Vikrant shouts that he truly loved Mannat and will also love Dua.
But Mannat replies that she knows very well how weak Vikrant is when it comes to trusting others. She says he can once again believe someone else’s lies and destroy their lives. Vikrant only knows how to break relationships and people who break relationships should not create new ones. She says she already paid a huge price for Vikrant’s love but her daughter Dua will not suffer for it.
Mannat adds that although Vikrant is rich enough to give Dua luxury and comfort he can never give her the unconditional love, values and care that Dhairya has given her.
Judge Scolds Vikrant in Court
Unable to control his anger Vikrant loudly declares that Dua is also his daughter. The judge immediately warns him that if he behaves aggressively in court again he may face contempt charges before even thinking about custody.
The judge harshly criticizes Vikrant saying that first he got a girl pregnant and abandoned her and now he is shamelessly asking for custody of the child. Neetu silently worries realizing that the entire situation has turned against them.
Precap: Mannat firmly tells Vikrant that she will never hand Dua over to him. Meanwhile Neetu warns Dhairya not to celebrate too early because the final judgment is still pending.
Dhairya confidently says that the decision will come in their favor. He admits that although Dua is Vikrant’s daughter Vikrant is also his brother which means Dua shares a blood relationship with him too. However Neetu becomes determined and thinks that if blood relations matter so much then Dua should ultimately stay with Vikrant forever.
