The trailer for the Prime Videos series Raakh is out now. It gives us a look at a thrilling story of crime and strong emotions. The series is set in the 1970s and follows a scary crime case that leads to a huge search and makes us question what’s right and wrong.
Raakh is produced by Deepak Dhar, Rishi Negi, Mrinalini Jain and Shyam Rathi. It’s more than a crime show. It explores themes of sadness, regret and the emotional pain caused by violence.
The trailer introduces us to Babu and Rajjo two individuals whose actions are terrifying. We see how their lives led them to make these choices. As their crimes get worse Sub-Inspector Jayprakash played by Ali Fazal is determined to catch them.
The trailer is fast-paced. Shows a tense game of cat and mouse between the investigator and the criminals. It also highlights how crime affects victims, families and communities.
The creators Anusha Nandakumar and Sandeep Saket wanted to explore the impact of crime. They focused on how sadness, anger, regret and love change the lives of those affected.
Raakh is executive produced by Prosit Roy. The series stars Sonali Bendre, Ali Fazal and Aamir Bashir.
Raakh will premiere on Prime Video on June 12. It will be available in Hindi for viewers in India and over 240 countries worldwide.
