On its 37th day (Friday), the film earned approximately ₹1.37 crore net in the domestic market. This latest addition brings the total India net collection to an incredible ₹1124.01 crore.
Globally, Dhurandhar 2 has crossed the ₹1766 crore gross mark, solidifying its position as the third highest-grossing Indian film of all time. It is currently chasing the worldwide records set by Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and is in a close race with the domestic lifetime total of Pushpa 2: The Rule.
However, the road ahead looks more challenging. The film is facing increased competition from new releases, including the horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla and the sequel Ginny Weds Sunny 2. Additionally, the ongoing IPL season has begun to eat into the evening show occupancies, particularly in major urban centers.
To capitalize on its theatrical run, the producers (B62 Studios and Jio Studios) have reportedly pushed the OTT release to mid-May. This strategy aims to squeeze every bit of potential out of the big screen before the film moves to digital platforms.
