Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has finally shared a long-awaited update about the ongoing renovation work at his iconic Bandra bungalow, Mannat. The actor revealed that a brand-new gallery is being constructed specifically so he can greet his fans far more comfortably during special occasions and routine public appearances.
During an interactive fan session on social media, the King of Bollywood responded in his typical witty style when a fan humorously asked him to sell the property if he was not going to step out on the balcony anymore. SRK jokingly replied that he is building a whole new gallery so he can shine even brighter for everyone gathered outside, adding that he hopes the new design will also give him a proper handle to hold onto while waving to the massive crowds.
The sea-facing mansion, which remains one of Mumbai’s most famous landmarks, has been undergoing major structural repairs and expansion work, leading to temporary changes in his usual fan greetings.
The upcoming gallery is part of a larger plan that includes upgrading the property while keeping safety and fan interactions in mind. For years, thousands of devoted followers have gathered outside Mannat on festivals, film releases, and his birthday to catch a glimpse of the superstar standing on his elevated platform. With this news, fans can now look forward to an upgraded experience once the construction is finished and the actor steps back out to continue his cherished tradition.
Beyond the new gallery, the extensive makeover of the estimated 300-crore property involves adding two additional floors to the rear annexe structure, expanding the living space to over 30,000 square feet.
While the family has temporarily relocated to a rented luxury residence nearby during the construction phase, reports suggest that the work is nearing completion within the coming months. For millions of supporters across the globe, the grand reveal of this redesigned spot marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in SRK’s unique, decade-long bond with his loyal audience.
