The highly anticipated comedy entertainer Welcome to the Jungle has officially cleared its final hurdle ahead of its massive theatrical release scheduled for June 26, 2026. The Central Board of Film Certification, commonly known as the CBFC, has officially granted the star-studded movie a UA 16+ certification, allowing it to proceed smoothly to cinema halls across the country. However, this clearance did not come easily, as the censor board required the filmmakers to implement a total of 18 distinct cuts, omissions, and dialogue modifications to ensure the content complies with standard broadcasting guidelines regarding politically sensitive topics, crude language, and suggestive visuals.
On the visual front, the censor board clamped down significantly on various frames it categorized as overly sensual or inappropriate for general audiences. The extensive list of visual modifications required the complete removal of several glamorous bikini scenes, close-up shots focusing on women’s hips, and specific provocative dance choreography integrated within the musical tracks. The edits heavily impacted individual sequences featuring lead actresses Disha Patani and Jacqueline Fernandez, whose glamorous appearances had to be trimmed down. Additionally, the board raised serious objections to a vulgar hand gesture used in a particular scene, directing the editorial team to replace the offensive movement entirely with a clean close-up shot of actor Vindu Dara Singh, with the cumulative time of all visual deletions summing up to about 10 seconds.

Several comedic lines and rhymes also underwent major adjustments to soften their tone before receiving final approval. For instance, a controversial dialogue comparing a character’s dark complexion to coal was completely rephrased to describe him as a harmless simpleton instead. Similarly, a rhyming sequence about remembering a sacrifice was rewritten to refer to a person eating a paan before achieving martyrdom. Nadiadwala, this multi-starrer comedy boasts a grand final runtime of 164 minutes and 50 seconds, offering nearly three hours of continuous entertainment.
