Today’s episode begins with Damini talking to Gautam. She says a lot has changed in the house. Damini says Nandini is still blaming them. She believes they are wrong and have misunderstood everything.
Gautam says that Nandini has already said whatever she wanted to say. He says he never thought she would speak without understanding the full situation. He feels she chose the wrong time to raise the issue.
Damini Questions Nandini’s Actions
Damini says that Tulsi has given the Power of Attorney to Riyo. She says Riyo will now do whatever he wants in the business while Nandini will do whatever she wants in the house.
Gautam says they are not dependent on anyone’s money. Damini says that the issue is not money but rights. She says Nandini spoke up because she was fighting for what was right.
Gautam disagrees and says Nandini has nothing to do with this matter. He says Shantiniketan belongs to Mihir and Tulsi. Just because Karan helped with the expenses for some time does not mean he bought the house.
Gautam Vows to Fight for His Rights
Gautam says they have rights in Shantiniketan and always will. Damini says she was only trying to talk to Tulsi alone but Nandini arrived and the discussion became bigger.
She says that if anyone should leave the house it should be Karan and Nandini. If they are so proud of their money and have such big egos they should live separately.
Gautam says he has made his decision and will not leave this house. He says he will stay in Shantiniketan because he will not allow anyone else to become the owner of the house. He says the first rights in the house belong to him, Damini, Nakul and Mayank.
He says he will fight for rights even if he has to fight Tulsi. Damini says she felt bad Tulsi gave the Power of Attorney to Riyo without even thinking about Nakul. Gautam says he himself said Nakul is studying.
Damini says studies also require money and they will no longer take money from anyone in the house. She says he will have to ask Tulsi for Nakul’s rightful share because rights are received only when people ask for them.
Nandini Announced Parth’s Engagement
At the dinner table Pooja asks Tulsi where Karan, Nandini and the others are. Tulsi says Karan has gone to Delhi and the others will arrive soon.
Just then Samaira arrives with Nandini. Parth and Samaira are arguing about the menu. Hemant asks if they are planning a function because they seem to be discussing a menu. Samaira says they are discussing Parth’s engagement function. Everyone is shocked.
Pooja asks when the engagement is happening. Samaira says it is the very next day. Pooja asks Nandini how such a big decision was taken so suddenly when Karan is not even at home. Nandini says Karan has already agreed to it.
Damini Takes a Dig at Nandini
Damini asks Tulsi if she already knew about the engagement. Tulsi says it was obvious because Parth was planning to propose to Vaishavi on her birthday.
She is happy that things have now reached the engagement stage. Tulsi asks if Vaishavi knows about the engagement. Parth says there will be no surprise this time he only needs to talk to Vaishavi.
Tulsi congratulates him. Damini asks Tulsi if she is not upset as Nandini makes decisions without asking the elder of the family. Tulsi says that when children are happy they naturally share that happiness with their mother. She says she has no problem with it.
Tulsi Supports Nandini
Hemant congratulates Parth and says he is very happy for him. Gautam says it is an engagement discussion and Mihir is not present.
Parth says Mihir is busy with work and cannot come. Tulsi tells everyone that it is only an engagement not a wedding and preparations can continue. Nandini says that everything will happen according to what the family decides.
Tulsi asks where the engagement will take place. Nandini says they have not decided yet. Tulsi suggests having the engagement at home and even completing some wedding rituals alongside it.
Nandini loves the idea and agrees. Parth thanks Tulsi. Tulsi jokingly tells Parth not to create another mess this time. Hemant teases Parth. Parth admits that he is nervous and afraid that Vaishavi might reject him.
He says Nandini is going to meet Vaishavi he hopes she will say yes. Nandini asks Tulsi to accompany her because Tulsi is the elder of the family and means everything to Vaishavi. Tulsi agrees. Damini tells Gautam that Tulsi has forgiven Nandini for everything.
Tulsi and Nandini Meet Vaishavi
Tulsi and Nandini visit Vaishavi who looks nervous. Tulsi tells Vaishavi that Parth has already shared his feelings and they have brought the engagement gifts.
Tulsi says she considers Vaishavi like her own daughter so she wants to tell her everything honestly about Parth before she makes a decision. Tulsi says Parth is a good and hardworking man who manages his work responsibly.
She says he has flaws too. He used to be short-tempered. Tulsi asks Vaishavi to think carefully and decide if she wants this relationship. Nandini says if Vaishavi agrees they will welcome her with love. If she refuses nobody will feel bad. She asks her to listen to her heart.
Vaishavi Accepts Parth’s Proposal
Vaishavi remains silent. Tulsi jokes that perhaps Parth misunderstood and that Vaishavi might reject him. Vaishavi says that she likes Parth.
Tulsi tells Vaishavi about the engagement gifts. Tulsi says Nandini arranged everything, including clothes, jewellery, bangles and other gifts. Vaishavi takes blessings from Tulsi. Tulsi welcomes her into the Virani family. Nandini congratulates her and they leave.
Karan Returns Home
Tulsi is checking the preparations. Karan arrives. Parth says he thought Karan would miss the engagement.
Karan says there was no way he would miss it because Nandini kept calling him. Tulsi asks about his friend’s son. Karan says his is fine and out of danger.Tulsi asks Karan and Parth to get ready.
Karan says he needs to discuss something important with everyone first. He asks Samaira to call all the family members.
Karan Questions Tulsi’s Decision
Later Tulsi asks Karan why he called everyone when there is still so much work left for the engagement.
Karan says in his absence Tulsi made a big decision because of what Nandini said. He says everyone knows how much Nandini respects and always supports her. He says what Nandini said was wrong but everyone knows her intentions were never bad.
He asks why Tulsi has taken away his responsibility and she is giving him such a big punishment. Tulsi says she was never hurt by Nandini’s words.
Karan then asks why she refused to take his money and why she said he would no longer handle the household expenses. He says it is his duty toward his family.
Gautam and Karan Heated Argument
Gautam interrupts and asks why Karan keeps insulting them first paying money and then acting like a hero.
He says if he had known this would happen he would never have let Karan handle the household expenses. Karan asks Gautam why he takes everything on him. Gautam says his wife and children live in the house so why should Karan pay for their expenses?
Karan says there are nearly twenty people in the house including the staff and only four families contribute financially.
Damini’s Demand
Damini says Karan keeps reminding everyone about his contributions because he wants complete rights over the house. She says that why Nandini’s attitude suddenly changed .
Karan denies it. He says everyone has already received their share of the property while he is the only one who never took anything. He says he never wanted to bring this up but now he has no choice.
Karan says Parth has given his share Tulsi. He also says the business has not been performing well for the last few years and only his and Hemant’s work is doing well.
Gautam asks Nandini why he felt so bad about the Power of Attorney being given to Riyo if he is really so generous. Karan says Gautam is twisting the issue and two matters are completely different.
Tulsi Ends the Argument
Tulsi scolds everyone and tells them that there is an engagement in the house. She says nobody will create more drama
Tulsi says the decision to stop taking Karan’s money was her own. Tulsi says anyone who wants to express anger can express her but the decision will not change. She says she does not want the entire responsibility of the house to fall on one son.
Tulsi’s Final Word
Tulsi says she never calculates household expenses before and she does not want future generations to do either.
She says today Parth and Riyo are handling the factory work and tomorrow Nakul may handle it. Tulsi says responsibilities will be shared equally but the house will never be divided. She says as long as she is alive Shantiniketan will never be partitioned.
Precap: Parth and Vaishavi’s engagement ceremony takes place. Tulsi refuses to perform the engagement rituals. She says that since Nandini will soon become Vaishavi’s mother-in-law she should perform the rituals instead.
Parth says that the engagement ring symbolizes trust and that he is placing his complete trust in Vaishavi. Meanwhile Riyo remains determined to separate Parth and Vaishavi.
