Today’s episode begins with Baapji telling Tulsi that she can ask for anything she wants without hesitation. Tulsi replies honestly that if she says God has already given her everything it would be a lie. He has given her the status of a daughter but there is still something she wishes to ask for. Baapji asks her to speak freely. Tulsi says that since there is a wedding atmosphere in the house she would prefer to talk after the wedding rituals are over. Baapji insists that there is no need to wait and asks her to speak now. Tulsi again says they can discuss it later. Baapji reminds her that there is still time before the wedding muhurat so they can talk safely. Tulsi agrees.
Baapji asks how much extension they need to repay the loan. Mihir says they need as much time as Baapji can give admitting that they are already late in repayment but a little more time would really help. Tulsi emotionally explains that Shantiniketan is not just a house for them it is Baa and Babuji’s legacy, a symbol of love, values and their entire life’s worth. They want to try every possible way to save Shantiniketan which is why they are asking for a few months extension. She adds that even if Baapji refuses they will respect his decision wholeheartedly and it will not affect their relationship.
Baapji agrees to give time but adds one condition saying that as a businessman he believes every deal should be balanced. Mihir asks what he wants. Baapji mentions that his granddaughter Saloni likes Dev and if they find it suitable the matter can be taken forward. Mihir says that this would be wonderful as a relationship between the two families would be a big happiness for them. Baapji confirms that from his side it is a yes.
Tulsi says she has no objection but it would be right to talk to Dev first. Accepting a relationship without knowing the boy’s feelings would not be fair. Baapji agrees and asks them to speak to Dev. He leaves after saying that if Dev agrees it would make him very happy.
Dev Refuse Marriage Proposal
Mihir asks Tulsi whether Saloni truly wants to marry Dev or if this proposal came suddenly. Tulsi says that since it is a question of a child’s life no decision should be taken without speaking to Dev. Mihir agrees.
When Mihir asks Dev about marrying Saloni Dev is shocked. Mihir asks what happened. Tulsi clarifies that it is just a discussion and there is no pressure on him to say yes. Mihir adds that Saloni is a good girl from a good family so what could be the problem. Dev says the issue is marriage itself his age, his freedom, and the fact that he has never thought about marriage. After marriage life changes, traveling stops and responsibilities begin. He is not ready for that.
Mihir asks him not to reject the idea so quickly and to think calmly assuring him there is no pressure. Dev says that even thinking will not change his mind. Mihir tells him to take as much time as he wants. Dev argues that even taking time would create pressure because saying no later would still hurt everyone. Tulsi gently says that if Dev does not want to marry it is fine; they will handle everything. Dev thanks her.
Mihir worries that Baapji will only give the loan extension if Dev agrees to the marriage. Tulsi firmly says she will not turn marriage into a deal or compromise. If Baapji refuses the extension they will repay the loan themselves. A loveless marriage only leads to disaster and she will not allow that. She adds that once the wedding is over she will speak to Baapji separately.
Noina overhears this entire conversation.
Noina’s Manipulate Dev
During Jatin’s wedding celebrations Dev receives a message from Noina and leaves the ceremony. Noina asks him why he looks confused and tells him she called him to save him from making the biggest mistake of his life. She explains that Saloni is Baapji’s granddaughter and marrying her would mean a life of luxury without any effort. Dev says he does not understand what she means.
Noina mocks him saying that instead of struggling for money all his life he could become the owner of everything by marrying Saloni. Dev refuses saying that Saloni is not his type she dresses simply, has no sense of style, and feels old-fashioned. Noina argues that clothes can be changed after marriage and asks why he would reject a lifetime of comfort for such small reasons. She adds that if he marries Saloni he will live like a prince.
Dev admits that what Noina says sounds logical. Noina warns him to act fast before Tulsi refuses Baapji or his life will be ruined. Dev leaves confused but influenced.
Dev Agrees To Marry Saloni
Baapji later asks Mihir whether they have thought about the proposal. Tulsi says that relationships should not be decided only by elders the children involved must also be asked. Baapji agrees and says Dev’s choice matters.
Before Tulsi can say anything more Dev arrives and announces that he agrees to marry Saloni. Tulsi is shocked. Dev takes Baapji’s blessings and tells Tulsi that he panicked earlier but later realized that Saloni fits his idea of a life partner. Mihir asks if he has truly thought it through. Dev confidently says yes.
Tulsi still insists that such a decision must be taken carefully. She calls Saloni and asks her honestly whether she wants this marriage. Saloni innocently says she has an exam making everyone laugh. Gaurav asks if she is happy with the marriage and Saloni says yes. Gaurav emotionally says she is going to Tulsi’s home where she will be loved like a shadow protects someone.
Saloni asks if she can talk to Dev once. They step aside.
Dev Dream
Saloni asks Dev if he really likes her or if he said yes under pressure. She admits she likes him but wants honesty. She also mentions the huge loan on her family and worries that Dev may have felt forced. Dev lie her that the loan never crossed his mind. He says he agreed because of her simplicity, innocence, and values not money.
He imagines a dreamy life with her, fulfilling all his goals. Saloni brings him back to reality and he shyly admits he was dreaming about their married life. Saloni blushes.
Tulsi’s Principles Triumph
Gaurav tells Tulsi that she should stop worrying about the loan now. Tulsi says they will repay it soon regardless of help. Baapji clarifies that money was never the reason he called them he wanted to understand their situation and see whether the Virani family still holds the same values. He announces that since they are becoming one family he is giving them ten years to repay the loan.
Tulsi immediately refuses saying relationships and business must remain separate. She asks for only three months. Noina mocks her decision. Gaurav says that where Tulsi stands neither the roof nor the foundation can collapse. Mihir adds that Shantiniketan belongs to Tulsi and always will.
