Today’s episode begins with Karan telling Tulsi that he understands Gautam feels hurt but it truly does not matter to him who sits in the puja and who does not. Karan explains that he came only for Hrithik and for his happiness. According to him such small matters do not affect him at all.
Karan also says that he does not understand why Gautam becomes so insecure over such little things because he himself has never thought about these issues. Tulsi calmly explains that Gautam has gone through some very difficult years and because of those challenges he has become a little sensitive. Karan replies that if Gautam wants to sit in the puja then he should sit there. He has no problem with it. Tulsi then apologized to Karan
Karan questions why she apologizes and calls it unnecessary formality. Karan clarifies that he is not like Gautam. He does not think about such small things or take them to heart. He also says that Gautam and Damini can perform the puja and he will not have any issue with it.
Gautam Feels Insulted and Decides to Leave
Meanwhile Gautam tells Damini that they should leave. Damini says she was just bringing mehendi.
Gautam insists that they should go because he does not like staying in a place where he feels disrespected. He says that he already feels insulted by his own family just like always. He points out that Karan and Nandini are sitting in the havan and performing the puja while he and Damini are just roaming around even though he is the elder son. Damini tries to calm him down by saying that maybe the arrangements were decided earlier since they arrived at the last moment.
However Gautam refuses to accept this explanation. He tells Damini not to cover up for them because she also knows how people in this house think. He asks her to come with him.
Karan Gautam Argument
Just as Gautam is about to leave Karan stops him and asks why he is creating a scene. Karan tells him that if he wants to sit in the puja he can simply go and sit there.
Gautam angrily replies that Karan might be used to giving charity but he is not used to accepting charity whether it is a share in the house or a place in the puja. Karan says that Gautam is unnecessarily exaggerating the issue. He explains that everyone in the house is family and nobody differentiates between them. Karan adds that he and Nandini happened to sit in the puja because they saw the arrangements first. If Gautam had been there earlier he would have been asked to sit instead. Gautam responds bitterly that this is exactly the problem no one ever notices him.
He reminds everyone that while he was in Bangalore and Karan was in the USA thousands of miles away nobody ever called him or worried about him. He also says that the right to sit in the puja belonged to the elder son but no one even thought about him..Karan insists that Mihir and Tulsi have never treated their children differently and that Gautam has equal rights in everything.
Karan asks him to let go of his anger and come sit in everything. But Gautam refuses again and says he does not want anyone’s favor. He sarcastically adds that since it is a family puja it should be done by the family members while he is merely a guest who came to congratulate them and will now leave.
Gautam Accuses the Tulsi of Favouritism
Karan asks if it is appropriate to create such drama during a family puja and reminds Gautam that he is not a child. Gautam replies that the real issue is that although he is no longer a child he is always treated like one. He accuses everyone of always considering Karan as the favourite.
Gautam says Karan is Mihir and Tulsi’s beloved son and the closest to them. He explains that there is a difference between being a son and being the favorite son. Gautam says that when children of the house are counted he is included but when it comes to being the piece of someone’s heart Karan always comes first.
Shobha interrupts and says this is not the right time to say such things. Karan tries again to explain that Gautam has been holding these feelings inside him for too long and insists that nobody has ever differentiated between them.
He asks Damini to calm Gautam and tell him to stop talking about meaningless things. But Gautam says that his respect itself has become a meaningless thing.
Karan then asks if Gautam came to ruin the function intentionally.
Tulsi and Mihir Is Shocked By Karan Gautam Fight
At that moment Tulsi and Mihir arrive and ask why the two brothers are fighting. Before Karan can speak Gautam sarcastically says that Karan must be planning to call him stupid mad and useless. Samara also arrives there.
Gautam continues saying that he knows how to fight in court for others but he never learned to fight for himself in his own house. He admits that this is why he remained a stranger in his own home. Mihir asks Gautam what he is saying. Gautam then turns to Tulsi and questions why she is looking at him like that.
He reminds her that Karan is her favorite son and Nandini is her favorite daughter-in-law.
Gautam says if Karan and Nandini perform the puja then everything becomes perfect. But if he had done the puja maybe even God would not have been pleased because his own parents were never happy with him. Karan tells Tulsi and Mihir that he was afraid Gautam would say something like this and ruin the celebration.
Gautam replies that he is also saying the same thing it is a function they should enjoy it. He already enjoyed it enough and now it is time for him to leave. Karan loses his temper and tells Gautam that he cannot behave normally even for once. Nandini stops Karan and takes him aside.
Samara Overhears a Shocking Conversation
Nandini tells Karan that he should stop arguing because the entire function will be ruined in front of the whole family. Karan then asks why she is suddenly so concerned about the family when she herself has decided to leave it. He says that since she has already finalized her decision she should stop pretending. Samara overhears this entire conversation and becomes extremely emotional.
Samara Attempts a Shocking Step
While everyone is trying to calm Gautam down Karan again approaches him and asks why he is saying all this. Meanwhile Hrithik notices Samara standing in shock and slowly walking toward the terrace.
Samara keeps remembering the arguments between Karan and Nandini. Their voices echo in her mind and she becomes emotionally shattered. She reaches the terrace wall and stands dangerously close to the edge. Gautam leaves the place in anger. Hrithik sees Samara and is shocked. He immediately stops her. Hearing Hrithik’s shout everyone in the house becomes worried.
Hrithik Saves Samara
Hrithik pleads with Samara not to hurt herself. He asks why she wants to harm herself when everyone loves her so much. But Samara cries and says that no one loves her Hrithik tells her that he loves her and so do Tulsi, Mihir, Nandini and Karan.
Samara denies it and says that Nandini and Karan do not love her at all. By then the entire family reaches the terrace and is shocked to see Samara standing on the wall. Samara tries to jump but Hrithik quickly grabs her hand and pulls her down safely. Samara breaks down in tears.
Samara Reveals the Reason Behind Her Pain
Everyone tries to calm Samara. Tulsi gently asks her what happened and tells her that she can share anything without fear of being judged. She even asks if a boy is the reason behind her distress. Samara replies that there is no boy in her life.
Tulsi then asks what is troubling her so much. Samara shockingly says that Karan and Nandini are the reason for her pain. Everyone is stunned. Karan and Nandini also ask what they did. Samara says they pretend everything is normal but keep fighting all the time.nShe reveals that she knows they are planning to separate.
Samara explains that Nandini does not want to live in the United States while Karan wants to stay in USA. If she lives with Karan she will not be able to meet Nandini. And if she lives with Nandini she will lose Karan. She says they will make decisions according to their wishes but what will happen to her?
Tulsi Tries to Comfort Samara
Samara Tulsi tells Samara not to worry because nothing is more important than her. Karan also assures her that nothing like what she is thinking will happen.
Nandini explains that differences of opinion and arguments often happen between elders. Angad says that he and Vrinda also fight frequently but that does not mean they will break their relationship. Mihir adds that such matters are normal and should not be taken so seriously. Hrithik shares that he once went through a similar phase and almost took his own life. But when he later saw his family happy he realized how wrong his decision would have been. Tulsi gently tells Samara that she should never harm herself.
Samara says she tries to stay positive and even goes to therapy but whenever Karan and Nandini start fighting again she falls back into depression and feels extremely lonely. She wonders why nobody truly loves her. Tulsi assures her that parents love their children more than anything else in the world and that she is the most precious person in Karan and Nandini’s life.
Tulsi also tells her that whenever she feels lonely she should talk to someone in the family instead of suffering alone. Munni and Pari also promise to stay with her. Tulsi asks Samara to freshen up and reminds her that she still has to dance at Hrithik’s sangeet. Finally Tulsi asks Samara to promise that she will never take such a step again. Samara promises. Pari then takes Samara downstairs.
Tulsi Confronts Karan and Nandini
After everyone leaves with Samara Tulsi turns toward Karan and Nandini and scolds them. She says their constant fights are affecting Samara deeply and asks if they realise how depressed their daughter has become.
Mihir reminds them that he had earlier suggested that they move to India together. Nandini says that Karan keeps breaking his promises. Karan argues back. Tulsi stops them and says they have started fighting again without even thinking about Samara. Nandini says that they also have their own lives, emotions and problems. Tulsi replies that while personal problems exist children must always be the priority.
Karan Accuses Tulsi and Mihir of Neglect
Karan then says that as parents Tulsi and Mihir also failed their children. He reminds them that when Tulsi left Shantiniketan six years ago she left her children behind as well. He says he tried many times to speak with her but she never answered his calls.
Tulsi replies that their children are now settled with their own families. Karan responds that Tulsi himself used to say that children remain children for their parents no matter how old they grow. He asks if Tulsi thinks it was easy for them to see their parents living separately.
Nandini also explains that she and Karan did not even want to come here but they came only for Tulsi. Before arriving they had already decided that they would tell everyone the truth.
Shocking Decision Revealed
Nandini finally reveals that she and Karan want to separate. Tulsi and Mihir are left completely shocked.
Precap:Gautam tells Tulsi that he has never asked her for anything before but today he wants something for the Virani family he wants her to return to Shantiniketan.
Mihir welcomes Tulsi back. However Tulsi says she has returned to Shantiniketan not as Mihir’s wife but as the mother of her children. Mihir emotionally says that now that her auspicious footsteps have returned to the house it is his responsibility to bring her back into his life.
