Reflecting on that time, Shaan shared that while the emotional blow was heavy, the immediate need to survive pushed him to find work wherever he could.
Rather than dwelling on the hardship, a young Shaan stepped up alongside his mother and his sister, Sagarika. He recalled that during the late 1980s, cable television was just starting to make its way into Indian households. Seizing the opportunity, he began selling cable TV connections on a commission basis to bring in extra money.
