Today’s episode begins with Gautam talking to Nakul about fathers like him who are judged by the world. He says there are countless fathers who live with lifelong guilt , guilt that they could not give their children big cars luxurious houses or expensive higher education. Not because they didn’t want to but because their earnings were limited.
Gautam explains that a father deeply loves his children and always wishes to give them better food, better clothes and the best education better than what he himself had. But when all this goes beyond his capacity where is he supposed to bring it from? Children often see only money not their father’s struggles, sacrifices or helplessness.
Gautam says that today love is measured in money if a father gives money the child gives love in return. Damini immediately interrupts saying this is not true. Gautam replies that this is the bitter reality and that a very heavy price has to be paid to earn one’s own child’s love.
Damini argues that Gautam is misunderstanding the situation. Gautam clarifies that he is speaking to Nakul not to her.
He tells Nakul that he loves him immensely and that he has not lived his life without him. Time kept passing with the hope that one day Nakul would return to him. Gautam admits that he cannot give Nakul money and tears the cheque into pieces. He explains first he does not want to buy Nakul’s love he wants to earn it and second the money brought is earned in the wrong way.
Gautam says that returning this money will destroy his own dreams but it will save someone else’s life from being ruined. He makes it clear that he neither wants to buy Nakul’s love nor sell his conscience. He says that maybe he will never be able to send Nakul abroad for studies but he loves him unconditionally and always will. Gautam adds that Nakul may not understand him today but today he himself finally understood his own father Mihir. With that realization Gautam leaves.
Gautam Rushes as Divorce Looms
Gautam reaches Mumbai and calls Shobha asking where Mihir and Tulsi are. Shobha informs him that they have gone to court as Mihir and Tulsi’s divorce hearing is scheduled for the day.
A clerk interrupts and tells Shobha she cannot talk right now. Shobha tells Gautam she will call him later and disconnects. Gautam panics and says this should not be happening.
Inside the courtroom the clerk instructs everyone to switch off or silence their phones. Gautam repeatedly tries to call Mihir and Tulsi but both phones are unreachable. He urgently tells the driver to drive faster as they need to reach the family court immediately.
The Courtroom Delivers a Heartbreaking Verdict
The judge arrives and asks Mihir and Tulsi whether they truly want to separate. She mentions that even after counseling, they insisted on this decision but still wants to confirm once again.
The judge asks Tulsi if she wants a divorce. Tulsi says yes. She then asks Mihir the same question. With deep sadness Mihir also says yes. Niona feels relieved hearing this while Suchi appears happy. Shobha however is heartbroken. The judge says that ending a marriage of so many years must have valid reasons. She then asks about alimony. Mihir’s lawyer states that Mihir is ready to give Tulsi whatever she asks. Tulsi firmly says she does not want alimony. The judge insists that Tulsi has devoted years of her life and deserves it. Tulsi replies that she does not want rights over the money of a man over whom she has no rights left. The judge agrees and announces that the divorce papers will be issued requiring both their signatures.
Tulsi signs the papers first. As Mihir watches her sign memories of their life together flood his mind. When the papers are handed to Mihir he hesitates, lost in memories. Niona nudges him reminding him that Tulsi has already signed. With immense pain Mihir signs the papers trying to hide his tears. The signed documents are handed to the judge.
Gautam Arrives Too Late
Gautam reaches the court and tries to enter but a constable stops him. Gautam forces his way inside, apologizes to the judge and blurts out that this divorce cannot happen. The lawyer questions who he is and what right he has to stop the proceedings. Realizing he has interrupted the wrong case Gautam apologizes and leaves.
Outside the constable informs him that Mihir and Tulsi Virani’s divorce was finalized some time ago. Gautam is shocked beyond words.
He breaks down remembering Tulsi’s words that she would never about never giving up. marriage on Gautam. Guilt overwhelms him.
The Truth Finally Shatters Mihir
Mihir comes to Gautam and asks why he is crying. He hugs him and asks if Damini and Nakul are fine. Gautam blurts out that Mihir and Tulsi’s divorce has happened. Mihir says it was bound to happen after what he believed he had done. Gautam stops him and says Mihir did nothing wrong he believed a lie. Mihir is confused and asks what lie Gautam is talking about.
Gautam reminds him of the guilt he carries regarding Niona. He reveals the truth nothing happened between Mihir and Niona at the cottage near Empty Bridge. Mihir is stunned and asks how Gautam knows this. Gautam explains that destiny brought him there for a case and he saw the truth himself. He then shows Mihir a video recording proving everything. Mihir tries to shut the laptop but Gautam insists he watch it. Mihir is devastated watching the truth unfold. The video proves that Niona lied and manipulated the situation. Gautam also reveals that although Niona destroyed the pen drive he had already taken a backup.
Mihir realizes how Niona manipulated him and how he in guilt destroyed his own marriage with Tulsi. He is devastated and shaken from within. He says Niona ruined his life and separated him from Tulsi. Gautam apologizes for arriving late and for understanding the truth so late. He admits his own anger, misunderstandings and resentment over property issues yet realizes that he loves Mihir deeply and that Mihir loves Tulsi with all his heart and could never betray his family. He urges Mihir to use the proof and save his marriage. Mihir hugs Gautam emotionally He urges Mihir to go and save his marriage.
Tulsi Faces the Truth
Gautam takes Mihir to meet Tulsi. Tulsi becomes emotional seeing Gautam and says Mihir brought him back something she herself could not do. Gautam clarifies that he hasn’t returned but has come to reveal an important truth. Tulsi grows anxious. Mihir tells her something very wrong happened and asks her to see the truth herself. Gautam shows Tulsi the video of Mihir and Niona.
Tulsi is shocked. Gautam explains that nothing happened that night and that Mihir was punished for a crime he never committed. Tulsi looks at Mihir. Mihir confesses that nothing happened between him and Niona that night. Gautam to give them some privacy.
Mihir Begs for a Second Chance
Alone with Tulsi Mihir says it was good that Gautam came into their lives and uncovered the truth. He confesses that for six years he lived drowning in guilt unable to face Tulsi.
Now that the truth is out he doesn’t want to waste even one more second. Mihir kneels before Tulsi and extends his hand begging her to return to Shantiniketan and back into his life.
Precap: Gautam once again tells Tulsi that nothing happened between Mihir and Niona that night. Mihir confirms the same. The biggest question remains what decision will Tulsi take now?
