Today’s episode begins with Mahadev asks Ketan what he wanted to say. Ketan tries to speak but Dubey’s phone call interrupts him.
Ketan remembers Mogra’s insulting words and hesitates to talk. Mahadev says he hopes Ketan is not about to complain about Mogra’s arrangements like everyone else.
He says if Ketan wants to discuss anything they will talk at home not here.
Ketan Asks Mahadev for a Salary
Ketan says he does not want Mahadev to contribute to the household expenses on his behalf. He says he wants to earn a salary like everyone else.
He says he also wants to receive a salary for his hard work. Mahadev is shocked.
Mogra Poisons Mahadev’s Mind
Mogra calls Mahadev and says she has something important to tell him but doesn’t know how to say it. Mahadev tells her that if it’s important she should speak without worrying.
She says Vidya had earlier said she wanted to work. Mogra says she thought Vidya had said it in anger but Rajji and Narmada took her words seriously.
She tells that they have taken Vidya for a job interview for a peon’s job. Mahadev is stunned. He immediately asks Ketan to take out the car because they need to go home.
Vidya Loses Hope
At home Vidya says no one was ready to give her work. She says wherever she applied her age became a problem.
Sometimes she was rejected because of her qualifications and sometimes because she was Mahadev’s wife.
She says she has managed the house for the last 25 years, but no one even thought she was capable of working in an office She says she could not get a job.
Dheeraj encourages Vidya
Dheeraj tells her not to lose hope. He says a few rejections do not mean she is less capable. He says those people failed to understand her abilities and it is their loss.
Narmada also says she should not give up.
Rajji says Vidya must create her own identity outside the house. Only then will she regain her respect inside the family.
Mahadev Confronts Vidya
Mahadev calls Vidya in front of the entire family. He asks her what kind of revenge she is taking against him. Mahadev Stumbles The family tries to help him but Mahadev says no one should interfere.
He says he does not want anyone’s support. He asks Vidya why she keeps disturbing his peace. He accuses her of creating drama herself and making others join her. He asks why she went for a job interview.
Vidya says if he already knows then why is he asking. He asks if she got the job. Vidya says if he knows she went for the interview then he must also know that she did not get the job.
Mahadev Questions vidya
Mahadev says he wants to hear it from her.
Vidya says she did not get the job because the interviewer had the same backward thinking as Mahadev.
She says the interviewer rejected her because he felt ashamed to give Mahadev’s wife a peon’s job.
Mahadev Orders Vidya Not to Work
Mahadev tells Vidya from today onwards she will not look for a job. Vidya asks why. Mahadev says she does not need a job.
He says she already has food clothes, and a house. Vidya asks him what about her self-respect and identity. Mahadev says if she starts working people will think something is wrong between them. He says his reputation will be ruined.
Vidya says he only cares about his reputation and not about her self-respect.
Mahadev Accuses Vidya
Mahadev accuses her of trying to insult him through this job drama because people are already talking about him. He says earning money and doing a job is not easy.
He says a person has to struggle, work hard and sacrifice a lot to earn money. Vidya says she is ready to do all of that. Mahadev says running a kitchen and running a House are completely different.
He says outside the house people speak harshly before they pay anyone. He says that if she goes out in the sun to earn money her fair skin will turn dark and no one will even look at her. Vidya controls her anger.
Mahadev Insults Ketan
Mahadev says his children also think earning money is easy especially Ketan. He says Ketan inherited the rice mill and started sitting at the cash counter from the day he opened his eyes.
He says that is why everything looks easy to him. Mahadev says now Ketan wants a salary from the rice mill’s profits. He says if Ketan had been poor or an orphan like him he would not even have got a job in that rice mill.
He says Ketan cannot even handle the work properly so why does he deserve a salary?
Ketan feels hurt. Narmada holds his hand to support him.
Vidya Defends Ketan
Vidya tells Mahadev if he is angry with her he should scold her and not the children. She says he does not value either his wife or his children.
She says he should be happy that his son wants to stand beside him. Mahadev says Ketan only wants to stand beside him because he cannot stand on his own feet. He says Ketan is not doing anyone a favour.
Vidya says Ketan has the ability and strength to work hard. She asks Mahadev to stop humiliating their children.
Mahadev Talks About His Sacrifices
Mahadev says he is the one who made a mistake. He says he built this house and this family with his own hard work.
He says he worked day and night built the rice mill with his blood and sweat paid for his children’s education and made them capable of standing on their own feet. But even that was not enough for them.
He tells Ketan and dheeraj went against his wishes and had a love marriage yet never even apologized. Mahadev accuses Vidya of encouraging the children instead of correcting them.
Vidya Refuses to Give Up
Vidya says everyone in the family knows how much Mahadev has done for them. She says every family member respects him deeply. But if he still cannot understand their love then that is his problem.
She asks if he wants everyone to cut open their hearts just to prove that they love him. Mahadev again orders her to remove the idea of working from her mind. He says doing a job is not as easy as buying vegetables.
Vidya says she knows earning money outside the house is difficult. But if she does not work and contributes to the household expenses now she will not be able to face herself.
She says she will work. She tells Mahadev that he will soon see a new side of her.
Dheeraj Support Vidya
Mahadev says giving big speeches is easy but fulfilling them is very difficult. He says she has become overconfident because Rajji and Narmada are supporting her.
He says apart from those two no one else in the family will stand with her. Just then Dheeraj says that he is with Vidya. Mahadev is shocked.
Dheeraj says he is not going against Mahadev. But he truly believes Vidya should achieve something on her own. He says only then will he respect her.
Mahadev Warns Vidya
Mahadev warns that Vidya and the entire family will have to pay a heavy price for this decision.
He says he can write it down one day this family will break apart because of what Vidya is doing. Vidya is shocked. Mogra silently feels happy.
Precap: Vidya gets ready to go for a job. Mahadev asks where she is going. Vidya says him made the rule that every member of the family should contribute to the household expenses so why should she step back now?
Dheeraj and Rajji decide that if they want to reunite Vidya and Mahadev they must first bring them together.
