Today’s episode begins with Mahadev telling Vidya that she has given 25 years to this house. He says now others will earn while she stays at home and rests. Vidya refuses.
She says she will work and will not live on anyone’s sympathy, mercy, or charity.
Vidya Faces Rejection
The next morning Vidya sees job advertisements in the newspaper. She calls many companies but faces rejection because of her age and education.
She then notices Mahadev leaving for the rice mill he is telling Ketan they must complete all the pending orders when the mill opens the next day.
Vidya tells Ketan she cannot say anything to Mahadev but he should make sure Mahadev takes care of Mahadev because his injuries have not healed yet and he needs rest.
Mahadev tells Ketan to inform and taunt Vidya that even though she has never worked before she is searching for a job. He says he has so much work to do. He then leaves for the mill.
Rajji and Narmada Encourage Vidya
Rajji and Narmada notice that Vidya is upset after facing repeated rejections. They comfort her.
Rajji tells Vidya she has successfully done the most difficult and most important job in the world for the last 25 years. She says Vidya can never retire from the job of being a good mother.
Rajji says she may not have received a salary, promotion or bonus for it but she raised her children into good and capable people and that is not an easy task. She says she wishes everyone had Vidya’s strength and abilities.
Vidya says what is the use of those abilities when everyone has rejected her. She says Mahadev is right. At her age she feels she is not capable of doing anything and has become useless. Rajji and Narmada continue encouraging her.
Rajji’s Smart Plan to Get Vidya Hired
Vidya receives a call from one of the companies that had earlier not answered her. She says she does not want to answer because she is afraid of facing another rejection.
Rajji answers the call and tells the caller Vidya is busy making an Excel sheet and will call back once she is free. After ending the call Vidya asks Rajji why she said that.
Narmada says now the company will think Vidya already has work experience. Rajji tells Vidya to say she is a housewife who also does freelance work in her free time. Rajji explains what freelance work means.
Vidya Gets Another Chance
Rajji asks Vidya to call back and speak with confidence. Vidya calls the company. She says she is a housewife who also works as a freelancer.
She says her children are now grown up and settled so she wants to work full-time. She tells them about her age and education. The company asks her to come and meet the boss. Vidya becomes very happy.
Rajji Helps Vidya Prepare
Later Rajji and Narmada help Vidya get ready for her interview. Vidya says it is her first interview so she is feeling very nervous.
She asks Narmada if she can come with her. Narmada says Rajji should go with her instead. She asks Rajji to accompany Vidya. Rajji asks Vidya to trust her.
Both of them leave together on Rajji’s scooter. Narmada prays that Vidya gets the job and that Rajji receives Vidya’s love in return. Mogra notices Rajji and Vidya leaving. She tells a rickshaw driver to follow Rajji’s scooter.
Rajji Gives Vidya Confidence
At the company Rajji asks Vidya to go to the receptionist and ask about her interview. Vidya asks Rajji to speak instead. Rajji refuses.
She says if Vidya cannot speak to the receptionist then how will she speak confidently during the interview with the boss? Vidya still hesitates. Rajji tells her if she wants the job she must speak for herself.
Rajji says she also feels nervous while talking to strangers. To overcome that fear she takes a deep breath and imagines that the stranger is someone from her own family. She asks Vidya to do the same.
She tells her to imagine the receptionist as her daughter-in-law or daughter. Rajji wishes her good luck.Vidya gathers courage goes to the receptionist and asks about her interview. The receptionist asks her to wait. Rajji tells Vidya she is proud of her.
Mahadev Notices Ketan’s Distraction
Meanwhile at the rice mill Mahadev earns a good profit and distributes his share among the workers. Ketan remembers Mogra’s insulting words and gets lost in thought.
Mahadev asks him to focus on his work. Ketan wants to speak to Mahadev but Mahadev receives a phone call and gets interrupted.
Mogra Reaches the Company
Mogra reaches the same company. She realises Rajji has brought Vidya there for a job interview. The company staff ask Mogra if she has also come for an interview.
The boss asks the security guards to remove her from the office. Mogra lies to the security guard. She says her younger sister is inside for an interview and she is only waiting for her.
The guard tells her that waiting inside is not allowed. Mogra secretly bribes the security guard.
Vidya Meets the Boss
The boss warmly greets Vidya. He asks about Mahadev because they know each other. Vidya tells him that she has come for an interview for the admin job.
The boss asks why she even needs a job. He says Mahadev is a good friend of his. He tells Vidya that he can give her the job without even taking an interview.
However he also says that if he hires Mahadev’s wife for such a small position he would not know how to face Mahadev afterward.
Precap: Mahadev tells Vidya from today onwards she will not search for any job. Vidya asks him why. Mahadev says she does not need a job.
He says she has become overconfident because she has the support of his enemies daughters Rajji and Narmada. He adds that apart from those two no one else in the family will stand by her. Just then Dheeraj says that he is with Vidya leaving Mahadev shocked.
