Emmy Award-winning director Richie Mehta is all set to showcase his latest feature film centered on the life of India’s notorious dacoit-turned-politician Phoolan Devi at the prestigious 51st Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The Hindi-language movie, titled Phoolan, has been officially selected for the festival’s highly regarded Special Presentations category, which features some of the most anticipated international projects each year. Emerging actor Sneha Kumari takes on the titular role of Phoolan, capturing the grit, fear, and sheer determination of the young outlaw during the high-stakes confrontation. The supporting ensemble cast includes talented performers such as Anurag Thakur, Vikram Pratap Singh, Aakash Dahiya, Prateek Pachori, and Dev Dutt Budholiya playing key roles in the survival saga.
