Today’s episode begins with Tulsi covering her face with a mask so that no one can recognise her. Just as she is about to step into Shantiniketan she is stunned to find a dividing line drawn through the middle of the house.
Tulsi is shocked. As she enters the house she notices a party is happening on one side of the house while the other side is completely empty.
Tulsi Receives a Big Shock
A man thanks Tulsi for coming and tells her the kitchen is on one side and she will be explain her work. Tulsi notices that even the kitchen has a dividing line.
Tulsi steps into the kitchen but Maharaj stops her and says the party is not on that side. He tells her to go to the other side. Maharaj and another cook begin arguing.
The other cook asks Tulsi to wear gloves and take the glasses to the party.
Tulsi Learns Shantiniketan Is Divided
A Reporter asks Maharaj why the house is divided into two parts and why everything is separate. He asks if this is Gautam’s house.
Maharaj says this one house is now split into two homes. He says Karan lives on the right side while Gautam lives on the left. Tulsi realizes the house has been divided.
Gautam Celebrates Nakul’s Success
Tulsi starts serving drinks at the party. Gautam and Damini come downstairs and welcome the guests. A reporter asks Gautam about the occasion.
Gautam says the day is special because every year Tulsi used to celebrate the birthday of the Tulsi plant. He adds that it was on this very day that Great-Grandmother brought the Tulsi plant into the house
He says that they chose this special day to begin a new chapter for their hotel. He says Nakul his son will officially take charge of their business.
A guest accidentally tries to cross the dividing line. Gautam immediately stops him and says no one is allowed to cross that line. He asks a waiter to take the guest to the washroom from the other side.
Tulsi is shocked that the family has even divided the house. She wonders where the rest of the family is.
Tulsi Learns About Amba’s Property
Gautam asks the waiter to bring champagne. Tulsi is stunned. A woman asks Gautam why he chose that place to build a hotel.
Gautam says the property belonged to his grandmother Amba Virani. He says it was a beautiful heritage property which made it the perfect place for a hotel. He says Nakul converted the ancestral mansion into a heritage hotel.
Tulsi cannot believe that Amba’s property has been turned into a hotel. The woman says that there used to be a girls’ school there. Gautam says the school was not financially successful and was suffering heavy losses. He says no one wanted to buy the property Nakul suggested turning it into a heritage hotel.
He says it has now become one of the finest hotels serving every type of cuisine including both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.
Tulsi is stunned. She says the place where Amba wanted to educate girls is now selling alcohol and non-vegetarian food. She wonders what has happened to the Virani family.
Karan Files a Complaint Against Gautam
The police arrive at the house. The inspector says Gautam his party loud music is creating a disturbance. He says a neighbour has complained and asks Gautam to stop the music.
Gautam says he lives in the mansion and knows all his neighbours. He says they would never complain. Karan arrives and says he filed the complaint. He says the music is too loud and it is time for his children to sleep.
Gautam tells him that if the music bothers him so much he should put cotton in his ears. Karan says if Gautam enjoys loud music so much he should wear headphones while partying.
Karan and Gautam Fight
Karan says Gautam does not even have the basic sense to choose the right occasion.
He says Gautam has turned their ancestral mansion into a hotel and completely changed its purpose by selling alcohol and non-vegetarian food.
Gautam tells Karan to stay within his limits. Karan says he is only speaking the truth. Gautam says today is Nakul’s success party and he will celebrate it.
Karan tells him to hold the party at his heritage hotel where alcohol and non-vegetarian food belong instead of hosting it inside the house. Gautam says the house belongs to him too and he can do whatever he wants there.
Gautam Challenges Karan
Gautam says it is his property and he can do whatever he wants there. He asks Karan who he is to stop him. Gautam says that the party will not be stopped and challenges Karan to see who can stop it.
Karan says the police will stop him. Gautam says Karan he is an advocate and understands the law well. He says he has organized the party after obtaining permission and shows the inspector the permission letter.
The inspector says the permission is valid so they cannot stop the party. The police leave.
Karan Ruins Gautam’s Party
After the police leave Gautam orders the music to be played even louder. He says the party will continue. He asks Nakul to dance. Gautam deliberately opens a champagne bottle in front of Karan just to provoke him.
Nandini asks Karan to ignore everything. Karan asks her to bring the children downstairs. Tulsi watches everything. She thinks this is the same Shantiniketan everyone once called a temple. She never imagined it would end up like this.
Karan brings a speaker and starts playing devotional songs loudly. Nandini asks him why he is doing this and tells him to let it go. Karan says he has to answer them in the same language they understand. He says if they can play loud songs then he can do the same.
Maharaj wonders what is happening in the house. The guests decide to leave. Gautam tries to stop them but all the guests leave.
Gautam and Karan’s Bitter Argument
Gautam becomes furious. He says Karan is jealous because he cannot accept his success. He says he will not spare Karan today. He stops the music.
Damini tells Gautam the guests have left and asks him to come upstairs. She tries to take him away but Gautam stops her. He asks Karan what his real problem is. He says Karan cannot bear to see him standing on his own feet and becoming successful.
Karan says he became successful only after turning Amba’s ancestral mansion into a hotel. He says the mansion was built by Amba and Bapuji. He says it carried their memories and blessings. Now alcohol and non-vegetarian food are being sold there just to earn money.
Gautam Taunts Karan for Being Jealous
Gautam says becoming successful was not easy. He says Nakul worked day and night, forgot food and sleep, got every permission legally, completed the construction and worked with his blood and sweat to achieve success.
He says Karan is never truly his own and is only a brother by name. He says Karan is not Tulsi’s real son. Karan becomes angry and warns Gautam never to take Tulsi’s name in the house again.
Gautam asks why he should not. Karan says Tulsi is his son’s killer and is in jail. Tulsi becomes emotional after hearing this.
Karan’s Hatred for Tulsi
Gautam says he now understands for Karan only money and property matters. Karan says he hates people who don’t treat others with respect.
He says relationships matter to him but Tulsi never valued him. He says Amba was always close to his heart and will remain there forever. He says Amba was nothing like Tulsi. Damini again tries to stop Gautam. Gautam says Karan should not forget that there was once a time when he loved Tulsi more than anyone else.
Karan says loving her was the biggest mistake of his life. He says if he had known the woman he worshipped like a goddess would one day kill his own son he would never have gone near her.
He says the love in his heart has turned into hatred. Tulsi hears everything and is deeply hurt. Damini finally takes Gautam upstairs. Tulsi stands there heartbroken.
Tulsi Learns About Garima
Karan’s children come to him and ask why he called them. Karan says he wants to treat them to ice cream. He asks where Garima is.
His daughter says Garima was studying and has now fallen asleep. Karan says Pari trusted him with Garima. He says it is now his responsibility to build Garima’s future.
Tulsi hears this. She thinks that Karan is also taking care of Garima. She feels relieved that at least the sense of responsibility has not disappeared from the family.
Precap: Nandini tells Karan Tulsi will be released from jail the next day and may come to Shantiniketan. Karan says he has told everyone many times that Tulsi is not his mother. He says if Tulsi comes there he will not let her step inside the house. He says he will never let Tulsi’s shadow fall on his children. Tulsi overhears everything and is left shocked.
