Today’s episode begins with Arundhati telling Tulsi she is very smart. She says Tulsi has read her case and is trying to win everyone’s trust. Arundhati says Tulsi wants to take her place and says she will never leave the jail.
Tulsi tells Arundhati her son’s name was Kunal. She says he was only ten years old. Tulsi says no lawyer helped her she tried to tell the judge everything in the courtroom. She says everyone believed she had killed her own son she could not prove her innocence in court.
Tulsi Wins Arundhati’s Trust
Tulsi says no one told the court how brutally her husband used to abuse her. She says if someone had spoken the truth and become a witness the court might not have blamed her for her son’s murder.
Arundhati tells Tulsi she did not kill her son. She breaks down in tears and Tulsi comforts her. Tulsi then remembers how Arundhati and her gang had treated her badly in the jail.
Karan Decides to Leave Shantiniketan
At Shantiniketan Samaira requests Karan not to do this. Nandini arrives and asks what he is doing. Samaira tells her that Karan is packing his luggage. Nandini asks why.
Karan says they are going back to the US this is no longer their home. He says the place is called Shantiniketan but there is no peace left in the house. He says they were safe and alive in the US.
Karan says he cannot stay in this house anymore and wants to stay away from Tulsi’s shadow. Nandini thinks she wishes she could tell Karan the truth but Tulsi had taken a promise from her.
Nandini Refuses To Leave Shantiniketan
Nandini refuses to leave. Karan says this is their house. she says it is her house and she has responsibilities here. Karan asks what responsibilities are left in this house.
Nandini says everyone in the family is still her own. Karan questions whether the family truly considers them their own. He says Tulsi did not consider them her own and she did not even treat Parth as her own. He blames Tulsi for Parth’s death.
Karan asks what fault Parth had. He says there was no mistake in Parth’s upbringing yet Tulsi still killed him. He asks Nandini to leave with him. Nandini refuses once again.
Nandini Takes a Stand
Nandini says he can think whatever he wants but she will not leave the house. She says if Karan wants to go he can leave. Karan tells her that it is not her house.
Nandini says if Karan is the son of the house then she is also its daughter-in-law. She says she has the same rights in the house as he does.
Karan says nothing is left in this house anymore. Nandini says a person’s mother is not just their country but also their home. she Says the Nation Is Also Their Mother.
Ten Years Later
Ten years later Tulsi in jail helps all the inmates with their court papers. The warden asks Tulsi to check the books she had requested.
Tulsi says the inmate with bracelet number 6 has a high fever and should be taken for a medical check-up.
Tulsi Changes Arundhati
Meanwhile Arundhati looks at her son’s photograph. She says Tulsi is leaving today. She says she made a mistake by becoming friends with Tulsi.
Arundhati says she tried many times to stop Tulsi from changing her but Tulsi still taught her how to smile again.
She says she now always feels that him is close to her and Tulsi taught her that too. She says she has changed because of Tulsi.
Tulsi’s Jail Journey Ends
Arundhati quietly wipes away her tears. Tulsi says that ten years have passed but Arundhati still has not learned how to hide her tears.
Arundhati says today is a happy day because Tulsi is being released but she also feels sad. Tulsi tells her that she is just one letter or a phone call away.
Champa says Tulsi has changed everything in the jail. She says that ten years ago the jail felt like a place where everything had ended and people only came to serve punishment.
she says now the jail has become a place of hope and the reason is only Tulsi.
Tulsi Released from Jail
Tulsi thanks the inspector and asks all the inmates to take care of themselves. One inmate says they will meet again.
Arundhati says people leaving jail usually say they never want to meet again. Tulsi says they will meet again but outside the jail. Tulsi tells Champa she and the warden have created a system to help the prisoners and that system should never stop.
Tulsi finally walks out of the jail. The lady inspector asks if no one from her family has come to receive her. Tulsi says she did not tell her family she was being released one day early because she wants to surprise them.
Tulsi thanks the lady inspector for all her support and requests her not to stop helping the prisoners. The lady inspector nods and asks Tulsi to take care.
Tulsi Returns to Shantiniketan
Tulsi reach to Shantiniketan. she opens the gate and remembers her happy memories with Mihir, the family and the children. She becomes emotional.
She is then shocked to see two holy basil (Tulsi) plants in the house. Tulsi thinks that there had never been two holy basil plants worshipped together in Shantiniketan before. She wonders what has happened.
Tulsi performs the prayer and lights a lamp near both Tulsi plants.
Tulsi Stopped from Entering Shantiniketan
Just then a watchman stops her and asks where she is going. He asks who she is. Tulsi says the owners of the house are her family and that she is their mother.
The watchman says his owners do not have any mother. Tulsi becomes heartbroken At that moment a man notices Tulsi and says she has come with the catering service.
Tulsi says she is not from any catering service. The man says he knows she isn’t a caterer but they are short-staffed. He asks if she can help for a few minutes. Tulsi agrees.
Tulsi Gets Suspicious
Tulsi says one security guard didn’t recognize her while another person says the catering service had changed. She notices two Tulsi plants in the courtyard and wonders how there can be two owners of the house.
she says she needs to find out what is happening in Shantiniketan. She decides to uncover the truth before telling her children that she has returned.
Precap: Tulsi returns Shantiniketan. She is shocked to see the house has been divided into two separate parts. Gautam lives on one side while Karan lives on the other. Karan warns Gautam never to cross the dividing line between the two sides. Gautam says if Karan has a problem with his parties he should close his ears.
Just then Karan notices Tulsi. He taunts her and says he prayed every single day no child would ever get a mother like her. Karan tells Tulsi she no longer has any place in Shantiniketan. Tulsi is left shocked and heartbroken.
