Today’s episode starts with Gautam taking Tulsi to Shantiniketan to drop her off. On the way both of them become emotional as they remember their past memories together.
Meanwhile Karan comes running to Shantiniketan and calls out for Mihir. Everyone is shocked seeing Karan behaving like this. He rushes to Mihir and tells him to come outside. Mihir asks what has happened but Karan insists that he should come out and see for himself.
Tulsi’s Return Shocks the Family
Everyone gathers outside and notices that Tulsi is standing at the gate. All are shocked. Mihir is stunned thinking Tulsi is here? Gautam also arrives there and Mihir wonders how all this happened.
Karan Convinces Gautam
In the flashback Karan calls Gautam and tells him that he needs to talk about something important regarding Mihir and Tulsi. Gautam responds coldly saying that Mihir and Tulsi are his parents so why does Karan want to talk about them especially when he is only a name-sake son. Karan tells Gautam that he can hate him as much as he is angry with Mihir Tulsi but deep down they still care about Shantiniketan. He explains that the house is breaking apart and Tulsi is its pillar. No matter what she has to return home.
Gautam questions why he should care. Karan says Tulsi may not listen to anyone but she will listen to Gautam. Gautam doubts this but Karan insists he knows it for sure. Gautam says Mihir and Tulsi are divorced why would she return to Shantiniketan. Karan say that Tulsi still has full rights because her children are there and it is her home.
Tulsi Enters the Shantiniketan
In the present Tulsi enters and recalls her past moments with Mihir. The entire family becomes emotional. Tulsi goes to the Tulsi (holy basil) plant in the courtyard folds her hands and prays.
Mihir with tears in his eyes runs to her and stands in front of her. Tulsi remembers Mihir’s betrayal. One by one Angad and the rest of the family hug Tulsi.
Gautam’s Departure and Emotional Words
Gautam prepares to leave. Tulsi asks where he is going. He replies that she has reached her home and now he is going back to his own. Mihir tells him that this house is his too but Gautam says a home is where one’s wife and children are.
Tulsi asks him to talk to Damini and Nakul but Gautam says it is his fight and he will handle it himself. He expresses happiness that he could bring his mother back home and says now he must bring his son Mukul back to his mother Damini. Tulsi tells him she understands and asks him to take care of his family and to call her whenever needed. Gautam touches Tulsi and Mihir’s feet. Mihir proudly says that Gautam has become a better person than him. They hug emotionally.
All family members thank Gautam. Nandini and Karan also express their gratitude. Everyone becomes emotional as Gautam leaves.
Griha Pravesh for Tulsi
Mihir says that what none of them could do Gautam managed to do. Shobha asks Tulsi to come inside but Mihir stops her and brings an aarti thali for her.
He says that although Tulsi has done everyone’s housewarming rituals today he will do it for her. Tulsi smiles and says she is not a new bride. Mihir replies that for Baa she is always the favorite daughter-in-law.
Gayatri performs Tulsi’s aarti and welcomes her inside. She says that when Tulsi left happiness and peace left the house too and now everything will be restored.
Tulsi Revives the House Spirit
Tulsi enters and becomes emotional seeing the house. She notices that God’s photo is missing and asks about it. Mihir says things had changed but now that she is back everything will be fine again.
Tulsi goes to the temple and uncovers the photo of God. Mihir waters the Tulsi plant and performs prayers. Tulsi also prays and asks for forgiveness for any mistakes and seeks blessings for her family. Gayatri tells Shobha that with Tulsi’s return it feels like life has come back into the house and even the walls seem to breathe again.
Tulsi serves dinner to everyone. The family enjoys the meal and insists she joins them. Mihir becomes emotional and when asked he says that along with the food taste has returned to his life as well.
A Tough Decision About the Children
Vrinda says she wants to talk about something important. She suggests sending Akshaya and Madhavi to a boarding school. Mihir is shocked and refuses saying the family has just reunited after years.
Vrinda explains that the children have grown up in a different environment and need time and discipline to adjust. Angad supports her saying sometimes stepping out of comfort is necessary to understand values. Mihir still disagrees but Vrinda insists it is only for a couple of years and will benefit them. She reveals that she discussed this with Angad and made the decision thoughtfully.
Tulsi Supports Vrinda
Mihir asks Tulsi to explain but Tulsi supports Vrinda. She says that a mother always thinks the best for her children and Vrinda must have taken this decision after careful consideration.
Tulsi praises Vrinda for raising Akshaya and Madhavi with great care and says this decision must not have been easy for her. She assures Vrinda of her support. Mihir though unhappy agrees after Tulsi supports the decision.
Precap: Mihir thanks Tulsi and says that with her return not just the Tulsi plant their entire family life will flourish again. Tulsi is then shocked when she learns that Niona is suffering from cancer and has only a few months to live.
