Today’s episode begins with Tulsi asks Nandini why she has come to meet her. Nandini says she cannot live with this truth. She says she should be in Tulsi’s place.
Tulsi tells her she is exactly where she should be at her own home with her family. Tulsi says she knows what Nandini has done but no one should ever doubt her.
She says society will never understand the truth. Even if Ansh and Parth were wrong no one will understand the real reason behind everything. Tulsi says they did not do what they did as a mother, daughter-in-law or son. They did it to save a woman.
She says they tried to save a girl’s life but they will never be able to explain that to society. Tulsi says they cannot even explain to people that a husband cannot abuse his wife after marriage.
Tulsi Asks Nandini to Hide the Truth
Tulsi says society never lets a mother forget the murder of her son so no one should ever suspect Nandini. Tulsi asks Nandini to go back home.
Nandini asks how much more Tulsi will keep sacrificing for her. She says she always fought with Tulsi without understanding anything. Tulsi says she always considered Nandini as her daughter and she cannot watch her go to jail.
Tulsi says Karan and the family need Nandini right now.
Tulsi Refuses to Meet Family
Tulsi also says she does not want anyone from the family to come and meet her. Tulsi says she will have to spend many years in prison and no one in the family will ever forgive her.
She says she cannot bear to see hatred in her children’s eyes. Tulsi says time will pass but relationships do not get time to heal so easily.
She says as relationships slowly break the pain becomes impossible to bear.
Tulsi Requests Nandini
She says if Nandini really wants to do something for her then she should stay away from her and should not let anyone from the family come to meet her.
Tulsi asks Nandini to take care of Shantiniketan. She tells her to look after the house celebrate every festival and fulfil all family traditions. Tulsi says Karan will never forgive her.She again asks Nandini to go home. Nandini then says Mihir has already learned the truth.
Tulsi replies that she will tell Mihir whatever needs to be said but Nandini should not say anything. Tulsi leaves. Nandini breaks down in tears.
Karan Confronts Tulsi
The next day Karan comes to meet Tulsi in jail. Tulsi becomes emotional and asks how he is. Karan angrily says only an hour has passed since his son’s funeral so how can she even ask how he is.
He says the fire burning in his heart was lit by Tulsi herself. Karan says Tulsi did not just kill Parth she destroyed him as well. He asks why she killed Parth. Karan says parents live through their children. Now that Parth is gone she has killed him too.
He tells Tulsi he brought Parth back from the US only because she had asked him to. Tulsi had said this was Parth’s country, home, family and his roots. But instead she herself removed Parth from those roots forever.
Karan Accuses Tulsi
Karan asks if she called Parth back only so that she could kill him and says she also killed Riyo along with him. Tulsi says she did not kill Riyo.
Karan says Riyo is not alive to tell the truth while Parth is no longer alive to defend himself. He asks how he can believe Tulsi.
Karan says no one should ever get a mother like her. Tulsi is deeply hurt.
Tulsi Is Hurt by Karan’s Words
Karan says she killed Ansh, Parth, Riyo how many more people who is next?
He tells Tulsi to kill him as well. Karan warns her never to take his name again. He says from today he is dead for her. Karan says he always believed Mandira was a bad mother but now he believes Tulsi has brought a curse to the word mother.
He says he feels disgusted by her. He also says he feels ashamed that he ever called her his mother. Karan calls Tulsi a Witch. Karan leaves Tulsi break down in tears.
Shantiniketan Falls Apart
At Shantiniketan Gayatri notices that the dining table is empty. She asks Maharaj where everyone is. He says no one has come to eat.
He tells her Karan has locked himself inside his room Nandini is crying and all the other family members are also sitting silently in their rooms. Gayatri says everyone is fighting their own pain and it feels as if no one even wants to live anymore.
Maharaj asks what should be done with the food. Gayatri tells him to feed it to the poor. She hopes their blessings might bring some goodness back. She wonders whether this house will ever feel like a home again.
Niyati Leaves the ShantiniketanÂ
Niyati walks out of the house. Gayatri stops her and asks where she is going. She requests Niyati to stay. Niyati refuses.
She says there is no reason for her to stay anymore. First she lost Ansh and now Riyo. She says this house has taken everything away from her.She says Niyati Shantiniketan has ruined her life so how can Gayatri expect her to stay?
Gayatri asks her to at least speak to Karan before leaving. Niyati says Karan is not in a state to talk to anyone. He has lost his son and he himself does not know what exactly happened. She says coming into this house was the biggest mistake of her life.
She believed Riyo would receive her grandmother’s love here. She never imagined Tulsi would take Riyo’s life. Niyati says she cannot stay in this murderer’s house.
She says if she continues living there Riyo’s soul will never find peace. Niyati leaves. Gayatri notices that the holy basil (Tulsi) plant has dried up.
She sadly says not only Parth and Riyo have died but the life of the entire Shantiniketan has also ended.
Nandini Feels Guilty
Nandini looks at Tulsi’s photograph. She says Tulsi took the blame for her crime and left all the responsibility of the house in her hands.
Nandini wonders how she will handle everything. She says Tulsi is suffering the punishment of her crime she can’t carry this burden. She asks how she will ever be able to live with it.
She says this house belongs to Tulsi and Tulsi should have been here instead of her. Just then Shobha arrives. She comforts Nandini.
Shobha Question Nandini
Shobha says she still cannot believe Tulsi took such a big step. She says Tulsi was already heartbroken after Ansh’s death so why did she do this?
Shobha says her heart refuses to believe that Tulsi could do something like this. She asks what really happened that day. Nandini says the one who has left will never return.
Shobha asks if Nandini is not angry with Tulsi Parth died because of her. She also asks if she is alright.
Nandini Tries to Hide the Truth
Nandini says she only came to return the house keys. She says Tulsi had given her the responsibility of the house but now that relationship has broken she no longer deserves the responsibilities of a daughter-in-law.
She places the keys down and leaves. Nandini becomes emotional as she remembers Tulsi’s promise. She feels guilty.
Mihir’s Letter Breaks Tulsi’s Heart
Inside the jail Tulsi does not eat her food.
A constable gives her a letter from Mihir.Tulsi reads it.
In the letter Mihir writes that Tulsi should stop hoping that he will ever come to meet her. He says he does not even want to see her face anymore. Mihir writes when Ansh died he stood by Tulsi because he believed in her but her decision left a wound in his heart.
Now she has reopened that same wound once again. He says she had no right to take someone’s life. He says she is not God. Mihir says her one decision has destroyed so many lives.
He tells Karan will never be the same person again. He says when the protector of the family becomes its destroyer he cannot continue that relationship anymore.
Tulsi remembers all her happy moments with Mihir and breaks down emotionally.
Precap: After spending ten years in jail Tulsi returns to Shantiniketan. She is shocked to see the house has been divided into two parts. Gautam lives on one side while Karan lives on the other.
Karan warns Gautam never to cross the dividing line. Gautam replies that if Karan has a problem with his parties he should close his ears.
Just then Karan sees Tulsi and taunts her. He says he prayed every day no child would ever get a mother like her. Karan tells Tulsi she no longer has any place in Shantiniketan. Tulsi is left shocked and heartbroken.
